CAPed – Educational Affairs Coordination Office

The Educational Affairs Coordination Office (CAPed) serves as an institutional space for consultation and guidance, as well as for the planning and development of activities that enhance institutional policies, academic processes, and teaching and learning pathways within the School of Sciences, Technologies and Health (CTS).

Objectives:

  • Provide educational guidance and support to students, focusing on academic aspects and promoting quality learning and academic success;
  • Strengthen student autonomy and leadership;
  • Support the organization of professional development opportunities for faculty and staff, fostering discussions on topics relevant to higher education and contributing to the improvement of teaching practices;
  • Collaborate with other institutional stakeholders to develop teaching and learning strategies, as well as improvements to student tutoring and support programs, considering contemporary challenges and the needs of the academic community;
  • Assist program coordinators in promoting educational accessibility, contributing to inclusive teaching and learning process;
  • Promote the continuous improvement of the undergraduate programs’ educational projects, considering both internal and external evaluations;
  • Provide support to program coordinators in external evaluation processes.

  • Advisory services in the development and revision of the undergraduate programs’ Educational Projects (PPCs);

  • Indigenous and Quilombola Student Tutoring Program;
  • Institutional Program for Student Academic Support (PIAPE);
  • Continuing faculty development, in partnership with PROFOR/PROGRAD.
