Services for the Community
The Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (UFSC) Araranguá Campus, in addition to generating new knowledge through research and disseminating it through teaching, embraces university outreach as a core institutional mission.
University outreach can be understood as the moment when the knowledge produced at UFSC is put into practice and connected with society. At UFSC Araranguá, outreach projects are directed toward both internal and external communities and are offered free of charge. Faculty members, staff, and students work collaboratively to integrate knowledge and science into everyday life.
These initiatives span a wide range of areas, including culture, the arts, sports, health, leisure, technology, innovation, entrepreneurship, internationalization, social inclusion, and environmental sustainability.
In this way, UFSC seeks not only to generate new knowledge but also to apply it for the direct benefit of society and the environment.
